Habib is a highly experienced surf coach with over 17 years of coaching expertise. His extensive knowledge of surfing techniques, safety protocols, and personalized training methods has empowered countless students to improve their skills and develop a lifelong passion for the sport.
Habib’s dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive surf environment reflects his commitment to promoting sustainable surf tourism and community engagement.
With a strong background in leadership and coaching. His vision is to elevate Morocco’s reputation as a top surf destination while nurturing a supportive, safety-conscious surf community.
BADR
Badr is a passionate and visionary entrepreneur, serving as the CEO and Founder of SantaCruz Surf Maroc, a premier surf school dedicated to delivering exceptional surfing experiences along Morocco’s renowned Atlantic coast. With a deep-rooted love for the ocean and surf culture.
Badr has built SantaCruz Surf Maroc into a leading destination for surfers of all levels, combining authentic Moroccan hospitality with professional coaching standards.
Badr's leadership style emphasizes transparency, empowerment, and continuous improvement. He is dedicated to aligning organizational goals with emerging industry trends, ensuring a rapidly changing environment.
ABDELLAH
With over ten years of surfing experience, the ocean has truly become his second home. For him, surfing is far more than catching waves, it’s about freedom, connection, laughter, and that magical feeling of moving in harmony with the sea.
Every year, he travels with friends to different surf spots, chasing waves, new perspectives, and deeper understanding. He sees surfing as a lifelong journey, one that teaches humility, joy, resilience, and presence. This mindset is something he naturally shares with every student who joins him in the water.
As a certified swimming instructor, professionally trained by the Moroccan Surfing Federation, safety is always at the heart of his teaching. But beyond technique and structure, his approach is rooted in patience, inclusiveness, and positive energy. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, background, or experience level.
In his lessons, there is no pressure and no ego, only encouragement, genuine smiles, and steady progress at each person’s own rhythm. Whether it’s a first wave or the hundredth, he creates an environment where students feel supported, empowered, and truly part of the surf family.
Because for him, surfing is not about perfection.
It’s about feeling alive.
And he believes the ocean has room for all of us.
PETRA
With a background as a qualified Judo instructor, she brings years of experience in discipline, body awareness, respect, and inclusive teaching philosophy into the SantaCruz Surf Maroc family.
She also teaches self defense, focusing on building confidence, inner strength, and trust in one’s own abilities, qualities that are just as essential in the ocean as they are on land.
For her, inclusiveness is not just a word. It is a core value. Everyone deserves to feel welcome, safe, and supported.Although she does not teach surfing herself, she recently transitioned from bodyboarding to longboard surfing and is experiencing the beginner’s journey firsthand.
This allows her to deeply understand the emotions, challenges, insecurities, and small victories that every new surfer goes through.
As a student within the team, she feels safe, supported, and constantly inspired by the coaches.
She is always learning and always growing, both in the water and beyond.
Behind the scenes, she plays an essential role in administration, organization, and communication, supporting the team so they can focus fully on delivering unforgettable surf experiences.
She may not stand in the lineup as an instructor, but she is a steady and positive presence within the team, a quiet source of encouragement, and a true believer in the power of confidence, community, personal growth, and deep connection to the ocean.
